Reiki Treatment

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes improvement in the mind, body, and spirit. Reiki is a non-religious spiritual practice intended to bring healing energy to yourself and to others. In a Reiki healing session, the practitioner holds their hands just above the recipient's body or may lightly touch the recipient starting at the head and progressing to the feet. The intention of a Reiki session is not to cure any ailment, but to bring a sense of comfort and well-being, or "healing," to the recipient. Reiki can be given to people of all ages and developmental levels. Reiki is also safe for pregnancy.

Who can learn Reiki?
Anyone with compassion for others, a desire to help, and a willingness to bring comfort to others can learn Reiki. Reiki students come from all walks of life, professions, and cultures. Becoming a Reiki practitioner only requires Level I teaching, which can be completed in as little as 5 hours. Any Level I practitioner may go on to Levels 2 and 3 to enhance their practice and teach others. Learning Reiki can be an essential self-care practice for anyone who is experiencing difficulties or symptoms from stress, illness, injury, brain disease, mental health illnesses, or for anyone wanting to enhance their well-being. For healthcare professionals and volunteers, learning Reiki can enhance your clients' or patients' experience with you. For family members who are caregivers, Reiki can bring comfort and peace to both you and your loved one.

What will I learn in a Reiki teaching?

In Reiki I, you will learn about the history and intention of traditional Reiki, also known as Usui Reiki Ryoho. You will also learn how to give Reiki energy to yourself for personal healing and how to give Reiki directly to another person. You will learn the traditional hand positions used for self-healing and to give Reiki to others.

In Reiki II, you will learn the traditional Reiki symbols, their meaning, and how to use them in a Reiki session. You will also learn how to give a Reiki session to a person who is not in the same location as you, also known as "distance Reiki."

In Reiki III, you will learn how to teach traditional Reiki to others and how to give an attunement, the essential element for connecting to healing energies and passing it to yourself and others.

Where are the teachings held?
Reiki classes can be taught in your home if you live within 25 miles of Pensacola, Florida or online          via Zoom. My students have found both formats to be effective.

Why am I offering Reiki teaching?
I believe that no one should suffer, and if you can learn a technique that is natural, effective, and simple, then it is my responsibility as a healer and a healing facilitator to teach you this practice.
